Cambridge

I was very lucky to become friends with Antonia who studied at Cambridge at Saint Johns college. We had a private tour of Saint John's college. I was most impressed with there gardens which are beautiful. It was as if one steps back in time when you are there and for a historian that is rather special.

Weirdly enough, the week before I visited Cambridge I casually bumped into the Duke of Cambridge in my gymn of all places.

So next time I bump into him in the gym I can report that he is rulling Cambridge well.

Cambridge was originally where some monks from Oxford ran away to so that they could break away from Oxford. These rebel monks created Cambridge. With this in mind I always think that the students who study in Cambridge have rebel spirits.

The most interesting story is that Lord Byron kept a bear in his room, how funky! It was a amazing to have a taster of Cambridge in winter as there are less tourists. After a wonderful tour of Saint John's College Cambridge we ran into the Dean of the college who invited us back to Cambridge for a special dinner. Overall it was an amazing day and I would love to return to Cambridge in style.
