ABOUT ME

My name is Alexander Ogilvie-Graham, I am a young man with Aspergers who lives and breathes history.

I come from a military background and grew up in Hampshire and Yorkshire. My mother hails from Belgium and my father is a true Scotsman. I have one brother, William, who is the eldest, and one sister, Sophie, who is younger than me. At home we have one dog, Dilly and one cat, called Cecilia.

When I was one I had a heart operation which required very steady hands and I have been living it up ever since. As I mentioned, I have Aspergers and I am also missing my 22nd Chromosome, which doesn't miss me as much! Having Aspergers means that I am not naturally good at group situations and I have a speech impairment. After a while one gets used to these things and 24 years on I am learning how to cope and to make the best out of a bad situation.

One of the ways I do this, is by having lots of carers who are amazing and they support me along this journey (and stop me from becoming too Aspergic!) There is nothing I like more than adventuring with my carers to new and interesting places. This Blog is a document of some of the travels and experiences, which I very much hope you, the reader, will enjoy.

My other loves are food and chess, although I am allowed to indulge in more of one than the other...!

I hope you enjoy this Blog and if you have any suggestions about where I should visit next, please let me know by commenting on here or on my Facebook page.

Thank you!
